Kirsty Nichol Competes in Miss Europe & World Junior 2008 Final
Kirsty Nichol from Farnborough has just returned from representing the UK at the international finals of Miss Europe & World Junior 2008. The yearly run competition is eligible for girls between 15 – 21 years old.
Kirsty said the experience she gained from competing in the pageant has been amazing. She had the opportunity to spend time on the Norwegian Gem cruise liner which was a massive 3,000 feet long ship with 13 restaurants, an ice rink, climbing wall, theatre and much more. It was the perfect way to travel around the Mediterranean ports of Malta, Italy, France and Spain in order to attend the hectic schedule of press events, lunches with important dignitaries and meeting local people to publicise the beauty pageant.
She said that she was worried that her skin may have suffered from the long days, hectic schedules and sea air but that the products in the Decleor travel bag given to her by Caroline from Shine Woking kept her skin in great condition. In fact she loved the products so much that she has decided to buy the moisturiser.
18 year old Kirsty competed against 40 contestants and was one of only five girls who were selected to perform their talent before a live audience in the final. Kirsty said it was amazing to perform her chosen song “Fields of Gold” in a huge TV studio in front of a large audience. She has also had the opportunity to perform a duet with the main talent judge in the piano bar of the Norwegian Gem cruise liner where the final was being held.
