Improving dry cuticles on your hands

Posted on Tuesday Jun 30 0:00:00 UTC 2009

I suffer from dry cuticles and hands all year round and I would really like them to feel softer and look more presentable, what can you recommend?

Dry hands and cuticles are a common problem that can affect most of us at some point in our lifes.  It mainly is due to the various conditions we expose our hands to and because we often don't have time to look after them.

Caroline at Shine would recommend that moisturising your hands on a daily basis is a good start to keep them looking soft and supple. It is important to apply a moisturiser as often as possible throughout the day (I often advise my customers to keep a hand pump of their moisturiser by their sink).  I would especially recommend using Decleor BEAUTÉ DES MAINS NOURISHING COMFORTING HAND CREAM. It is a non-greasy hand cream which is hydrating, nourishing and prevents the appearance of signs of ageing. Apply as often as needed.

Hand massageTo boost the effects of this hand cream apply AROMESSENCE™ ONGLES. This aromatherapy product has been especially formulated to leave your nails feeling nourished and strengthened. Every evening apply a few drops of AROMESSENCE™ ONGLES to the nails and to the back of your hands and massage thoroughly. Follow by applying some BEAUTÉ DES MAINS. If you put your hands in disposal gloves it will help the products to soak into the skin more quickly as your hands will get warmer in the gloves.

Twice a week, Shine would recommend exfoliating your hands with PHYTOPEEL. This gentle exfoliating cream will help to:

  • cleanse the skin and remove impurities,
  • gently remove dead skin cells,
  • help stimulate the cellular renewal process

After your exfoliation treatment remember to moisturise afterwards with your AROMESSENCE™ ONGLES and BEAUTÉ DES MAINS.
