Dear Friend
Congratulations on reaching this blog about how the benefits of Shine massage will have on reducing your pain.
I understand how pain can affect your day to day life as I have experienced this myself.
A few years ago I had terrible shoulder injuries - a repetitive strain injury caused when I was booked in for excessive waxing treatments for months when I was employed in a salon.
I had physio sessions - twice a week for months (unfortunately they didn't help me that much for some reason), was walking around dosed to the eye balls with pain killers and a tens machine that I wore day and night.
It was so bad I had to leave the industry I loved and get a new job. I went and worked in an office for five years just to rest my shoulders. However, what I did realise during this time was that developing a body awareness, improving my posture when working on the computer, going regular stretching, finding the right exercise for me, using aromatherapy oils and having regular massage were the best cures.
I can now massage for hours, and although I have a physically demanding job, but I am strong and healthy because I know when to stop and book myself into to having a massage before things get too bad. I still have to be careful on the amount of waxing I do but working for myself can manage bookings myself.
It is living with pain along with over 14 year experience of the beauty industry that my customers can benefit from when we work together to give them the results they want. I support my customers through their journey to reduce their pain but they need to be committed to helping themselves get better - so daily stretching, developing their own body awareness, improving their work environment and regular treatment can get them quickly on the road to recovery.
Often customers may think that one treatment is enough because they feel noticably better. However, I have found the best results are gained when a course of treatments are given in order to get into the deeper tissues in order to release muscle fibrosis.
Before each treatment I consult with my customers to find out which parts of the body are causing them most discomfort, suggest changes in body posture (if appropriate) and suggest stretches that will help release muscle tension.
My massages can range from light lympathic drainage, medium aromatherapy style massage through to deep tissue work depending on my customer needs and their desired results.
Massage can :

- Strengthen bone and movement of joints
- Accelerate healing
- Clarify and harmonise the mind and spirit
Relieves fatigue in muscular tissue, by removing the accumulation of lactic acid in the tissues
Will prevent the formation of fibrosis in the muscular tissue or reduce its development
Helps the muscle function at its maximum efficiency
Can relax tense, contracted muscles by suitable massage routines
Encourages deeper breathing to a more relaxed breathing

If you are still believe that massage is luxurious pampering and has no medical benefits for you - please look at my customer testimonials to see how I have helped other people.

Caroline is superb. I have had a few massages now and each one has been great. You always walk out feeling a lot more relaxed and calm. I had previously had some not so great massage experiences but I now see Caroline on a regular basis as I always feel much better afterwards
Karen – August 2008 – Back, Neck & Shoulder Massage
I have been a regular customer of Caroline’s for over 6 months now and am reaping the benefits of her skills and technique. Caroline tailors the massage not only to the customer but to the individual needs of that customer at the time. I usually book in early afternoon, taking a late lunch from work, and return to the office feeling relaxed and revitalised, ready to take on the world again. Caroline’s excellent use of pressure keeps my shoulders and neck loose and prevents return of a long-term arm injury which could otherwise periodically keep me out of work altogether. I would gladly recommend Caroline’s treatments and have already done so on many occasion.

I highly recommend the back and neck massage course for anyone, who, like me, suffers from an achy neck and shoulders after sitting working on a PC all day. Carolineʼs massage sessions have progressed each week I really notice the difference. I can now tell that the massage is getting deeper into the tissue. Itʼs bliss! As well as the massage itself Caroline has been very helpful asking about mouse positioning and showing me stretching excercises to relieve the tension too. So if you sit at a desk all day with a PC in front of you and have achy sore shoulders give the massage a go. You wonʼt regret it!
I hope that if you are having muscle pain issues that you do think about getting in touch with me.
